Shangdong Chamber of Commerce for Petroleum Equipment is founded by the government of Dongying District on July 6th, 2007 after the elaborate preparation for more than half an year, in order to meet the development of petroleum equipment industry, further deepen the integration of resources and make full use of the advantages, aiming to drive the Shandong petroleum industry run in a nice and fast way.It was approved by the Civil Affairs Department of Shandong Province. SDCCPE is a branch of China International Chamber of Commerce, formed by enterprises and groups engaged in petroleum equipment industry and other organizations, personnel, social groups dealing with international trade.
As a liaison bridge between Shangdong petroleum equipment base and companies or organizations in the same business in the world, we aim to promote foreign trade and various Sino-foreign economic and technical cooperations as well as to attract foreign financial investment,advanced technology. We will perform the following main works: do research for petroleum equipment market; promote petroleum equipments export; provide enterprises trade & foreign investment information and advisory services; attract foreign investment; bring in foreign advanced technology; implement various forms of exchanges and cooperation; look for suitable joint venture partners; organize international, domestic and foreign exhibitions of petroleum equipments; hold economic and trade seminar fairs; promote international exchanges between members and foreign enterprises & organizations; develop friendly intercourse with foreign chambers of commerce, economic and trade bodies and relevant international organizations; safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members and coordinate the relationship between members; publish petroleum equipment industry publications.
Until now, we have 106 members among which 84 are enterprises, 12 group members and 10 individual members. They are all from cities where petroleum industry has already developed really well such as Dongying,Yantai City,as well as Weifang and Zibo.The enterprises are representatives of its rank with a sales income of 5 million RMB just in the market of Shandong Province. They were engaged in petroleum equipment industry and petroleum engineering technology services and other relative activities. Group members are organizations, institutions and associations dealing with petroleum equipment industry and petroleum engineering technology services. Individual members are personnel, scholars and research workers (including the leaders of the relative departments, enterprises and organizations as well as experts and scholars) who engaged in petroleum equipment industry and petroleum engineering technology services other relative activities.
At present, we have built widely and strategic cooperation relationships with nearly 50 industry organizations at home & abroad, e.g. the National Petroleum Engineering Association, U.K. Petroleum Association, African Petroleum Producer’s Association (APPA),Embassy of Sifrra Leone in China and Japan—China Friendship Association. We plan to attend some international petroleum equipment technology exhibitions such as World Petroleum Conference 2008 and Huston exhibition in order to develop a more widely foreign trade and cooperation.
SDCCPE will meet the demand of the petroleum equipment industry development, broaden and deepen the scope of services, integration of resources and enhance communication and reasonable industrial layout plan and promote common development of the whole industry, also accelerate the construction of the processing and manufacturing base and the healthy and fast development of the national petroleum industry.
On the basis of complete fundamental facilities, convenient traffic, large industrial system and exceptional long-standing culture, we decide to hold China (Dongying) International Petroleum Equipment & Technology Exhibition on September each year in Dongying since the year 2008.The scheme and schedule were basicly formed and we are trying to do the propaganda, introduction and invitation work. We will learn advanced experiences from other countries and adopt the pattern that the government holding and operating like market oriented.
